NRFF Unveils New Official Website on World Rugby Domain

In a strategic move to enhance its digital presence and improve communication, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has launched its official website on the World Rugby domain: [www.nigeria.rugby](http://www.nigeria.rugby).

Under the guidance of Dr. Ademola Are, the NRFF board has achieved a significant milestone with this unified online platform, marking a new chapter in the federation’s digital strategy.

Previously, the NRFF struggled with maintaining a consistent online presence, operating multiple websites on different domains, such as .com, .org, and .ng. Problems arose when outgoing administrators failed to transfer control of these sites, resulting in a fragmented online identity and confusion among followers.

To address these issues, the current NRFF board worked diligently to secure approval from World Rugby for the .rugby domain. After receiving the green light and completing the necessary arrangements, the NRFF now benefits from a stable and professionally managed domain hosted by World Rugby’s servers.

This change not only provides a more permanent online home but also aligns the NRFF with global rugby standards, ensuring a cohesive and polished digital presence.

Additionally, the NRFF has standardized its social media profiles for the first time in eight years, using consistent handles across major platforms. The federation’s social media presence includes 6.1k followers on Facebook, 4.9k on Twitter, and 4.1k on Instagram.

This uniformity enhances the NRFF’s brand visibility, broadens its audience, and fosters a more connected rugby community in Nigeria.

Introduced by World Rugby in 2018, the .rugby domain aims to offer a unique digital identity for the rugby community worldwide. By adopting this domain, the NRFF positions itself within this global network, reflecting its commitment to international standards and the growth of rugby in Nigeria.

Dr. Ademola Are, NRFF President, expressed his appreciation to all who contributed to this achievement, especially highlighting the efforts of Mr. Mohammed Salisu, the federation’s technical representative.

“I want to thank everyone involved in this success, particularly Mr. Mohammed Salisu, whose dedication was instrumental in realizing this project. I also appreciate the support of all board members for their ongoing commitment to our programs,” he said.

The launch of the new website is a pivotal part of the NRFF’s strategy to boost visibility, engage stakeholders, and attract new supporters. By consolidating its digital platforms, the NRFF aims to effectively communicate its initiatives, promote rugby events, and showcase the progress of Nigerian rugby on both national and international stages.
