Racing RFC, Gosar Ladies RFC Aim to Maintain Dominance as South West Rugby League Resumes

Action in the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation South West Rugby League resumes this weekend across both men’s and women’s divisions following a brief hiatus due to nationwide protests.

Before the break, Racing RFC led the men’s league, while Gosar Ladies RFC topped the women’s standings.

As the league picks up again, Gosar RFC will face Ogun State Kings, and Nigeria Police RFC will seek to continue their momentum against Cowrie RFC. Racing RFC will aim to hold their top position as they take on Eco 11 RFC.

In the women’s league, Eco 11 RFC will compete against Nigeria Police Women’s RFC, while the leading Gosar Ladies RFC will enjoy a bye.

NRFF President, Dr. Ademola Are, commended the teams for their conduct thus far and stressed the importance of maintaining exemplary behavior throughout the league, especially as preparations begin for the national championship.

Heading into Matchday 3, Racing RFC sits atop the men’s standings with ten points, followed closely by Cowrie RFC with nine points. Gosar Ladies RFC leads with six points in the women’s division, while Eco 11 RFC and Nigeria Police Women’s RFC will look to improve their positions in the upcoming games.
